Unearthed Roots & Blossoms signify the cyclical nature of growth and transformation. We face the things that need to be unearthed from within. We tend to the roots that perhaps need to get untangled, re-rooted, and fed. We sow the new seeds of hope, dreams, desires – that need to be nurtured and watered. We bear witness to the growth of full blooms as life unfolds. And we honor the time after the full bloom–when it is time to go within again and start all over. Akin to the life cycle of our plant friends, this is the life cycle to our healing journeys and creative practices.

Khayla Deans is a cultural worker, spiritual herbalist, and creative consultant who understands the power of storytelling as a tool for healing and collective care. As a multi-hyphenate artist who has created and amplified the stories of others through various mediums as a curator, writer, and image maker, she believes that art and culture are necessary strategies for empowerment & liberation. As a spiritual herbalist, it brings Khayla great joy to invite others to the creative process of healing through the partnership of supportive plant allies.
